Rem. (2014)

Chad Skiles, playing Xander, holds out the experimental drug, "rem" in a still from the short film.

A struggling musician comes face to face with his past, with the help of an experimental drug, REM, that allows him to revisit past memories, as he tries to avoid dealing with the sudden news of his mother being admitted to the hospital, with whom he had a very strained relationship.

This film is a coming-of-age films that deals with the themes of rebellion and wanting to create that individual space for ones self. On the other hand, it also shows us how not being aware of the entire picture can lead us to make decisions that we regret later on.
